University of Warwick offers to help 5 more creative businesses – 6 months free in a 5G enabled business incubator

The University of Warwick is looking for the next cohort of creative businesses that it can help with its Creative Futures programme and business have just over two weeks to apply to be part of it – applications will close on 15th February 2021.

Last month the University of Warwick announced the first businesses to benefit from the help of its Creative Futures and 5G enabled business incubator space in Leamington Spa’s 1 Mill Street thanks to the backing of University of Warwick, BT & Warwickshire County Council. Now the university is looking for the next cohort of 5 creatives businesses who can benefit from this programme. They will gain 6 months of desk space at @1millstreet. This purpose-built space is the perfect environment for creativity and productivity. They will have access to state-of-the-art meeting rooms, a world-class events space, and a video and sound studio (oh and access to great food and coffee provided by @themusecoffeehouse). They will also have access an ultra-fast 5G network provided by BT Group.

  • Businesses must be motivated and determined to build or start a business in the West Midlands and be able to demonstrate why you would benefit from being part of the Leamington Spa creative cluster.
  • Applications can come from individuals (a lead applicant) or teams with a maximum of five co-founders or team members.
  • The business team must be primarily based in the West Midlands during their time on the programme.
  • Successful businesses will need to be both creative & digital from various sectors including screen, gaming, VR, AI, performing arts, marketing and events, PR and design businesses.
