International Scholarships in CQUniversity Australia

Scholarships are awarded to recognise strong academic performance as well as enable better access so that students can reach their full potential and build on their education aspiration.

This aspect of financial support is a key feature in the University’s holistic provision of services to international students, and continues to strengthen CQUniversity as Australia’s most accessible university. Every year the University provides approximately A$24 million worth of scholarships to support international students.

Scholarships are available from CQUniversity, the Australian government and external organisations. We encourage you to apply for any scholarship or funding you are eligible for.

SCHOLARSHIP AND BURSARY OFFERS FOR 2020

In times of challenge and uncertainty, CQUniversity continues to put our students first. To provide additional support to our international students, we have a number of offers available in any of the following courses:

  • Vocational
  • Research
  • Full degree and packaged academic courses.

Accept early for a reduced term fee

If you accept your offer for Term 3 by Friday, 9 October 2020, you will be eligible for our Early Bird concession, which provides a reduction of A$1000 on your tuition fee. This A$1000 will be applied as a credit to your second term of study. You must meet all conditions listed in your offer letter.

Term 3 starts 9 November 2020.

Scholarship Value for New Students

From Term 2, 2020 onwards, the value of the International Student Scholarship (ISS) and International Student Scholarship – Regional (ISS – Regional) will increase from 20% to 25%. This means new students who will commence their studies for the first time at CQUniversity in Term 2, 2020 onwards will be awarded up to the value of 25% of their course tuition fees.

These scholarships are not available to current students.

Scholarship Eligibility Requirement Changed

The ISS eligibility requirement has changed to 65% from 75% for Term 2 and Term 3, 2020. This means that students who have attained an equivalent of 65% in their most recent studies will now be eligible for the ISS, provided all other terms and conditions are met.

While academic merit continues to be an important selection factor, as a university that is committed to making quality education accessible to everyone, we want to make sure our scholarship support is open to more students, so that they can still achieve their education aspiration despite these times of challenge and uncertainty.

The ISS – Regional will continue to be automatically offered to students choosing to study at one of CQUniversity’s regional campuses including our Perth campus, provided all terms and conditions are met.
