As a network of South Tyroleans abroad, Südstern promotes exchange and communication among its members as well as their professional and personal advancement. The platform is constantly developing through ideas from the best South Tyrolean minds abroad and is in close contact with the economy and society in South Tyrol and the Euregio.

For ten years, Südstern has been working successfully with MCI | The Entrepreneurial School ®. Together, an attractive scholarship model has been developed exclusively for Südstern members. This scholarship provides a high-quality MBA program for South Tyroleans living abroad at particularly favorable conditions.

The postgraduate program in “Master of Business Administration” (MBA) is based on the motto “Manage globally – act locally – learn differently” and is aimed at decision-makers who already pursue an international career. An innovative blended learning concept combines attendance modules, online lectures, interactive study materials and intensive online support, thus offering maximum flexibility in terms of time and space.

The winner of the first ever-awarded MBA scholarship is the Virologist Karola Obojes-Wahler, PhD, who is pleased about this award: “Since my youth it has always been my dream to become a Virologist. In 2005 I was able to complete my doctorate as a virologist in Würzburg. Currently I am working as a senior application specialist in the customer hotline, also for Corona.”

Susanne E. Herzog, Head of Executive Education, congratulates the winner: “The Südstern Scholarship is a great institution to enable successful South Tyroleans working abroad to study part-time to further their career development. We are pleased to award this year’s scholarship to Dr. Karola Obojes-Wahler who, as a virologist, makes an important contribution to society with her research work“.
