The statistical survey on studying abroad

In the year of 2015, totally about 523,700 Chinese students went to study abroad, including 25,900 were dispatched by the state, 16,000 sent by professional companies, the rest 481,800 were self-financed students. Compared with that in 2014, the number increased by 13.9%.

Recent statistics from the State Bureau, so far 4,042,100 Chinese students went to study abroad since 1978 to 2015, among them about 1,264,300 are still under pursuing their degrees overseas.
